THE FINAL CLAUSE OF TACITUS - 'Something's Gonna Break'

It would be safe to say the tension within the masses is palpable. The cause of that unrest? The government. As the UK’s higher ups come under increasing scrutiny, the anger it produces has provided a wealth of inspiration across the board for rock and metal. Nu-metal trio The Final Clause Of Tacitus step up to the plate and deliver a hell of a slugging with new single ‘Something’s Gonna Break’.

Lifted from their upcoming third EP ‘Asinine Music for the Solemn and Staid’ releasing on May 14, ‘Something’s Gonna Break’ flows within the iconic veins of Rage Against The Machine’s ‘Killing In The Name Of…’. ‘We came to break the walls down’ starts vocalist Matt Dune’s campaign of disgust toward the powers that be. Bass heavy verses infused with funk driven lines lift Dune’s vocals to a new plane, making this trio compelling hype men for when this revolution hits boiling point. With groove laden guitar riffs loaded in their arsenal, The Final Clause Of Tacitus are sure to have us headbanging while we smash through that which oppresses us.

How many times are you gonna let them fuck with you like that?’ Dune questions, his voice dripping with the kind of desperate rage you reserve for calling out the ones you love on their bullshit. For those questioning whether these dogs have teeth, the rabid growl vocals toward the end of the song not only adds some juicy metal to the rap-rock bones, but shows that the beast feasting on the fleshy groove may just have foam forming at the corners of its mouth.

‘Something’s Gonna Break’ is available now across all streaming platforms. For the latest news from The Final Clause Of Tacitus, including new releases and tour dates, you can either visit their website, or follow their social media linked below.
