In a society that’s all too ready to tear people down rather than build them up, solidarity among us is long overdue. Why can’t people come together and accept each other as their authentic selves? The subject can be dour at best. Unless you’re One Morning Left. The eclectic Finnish metalcore sextet recently released their fourth album Hyperactive and pluck danceable rock anthem ‘Creatvres’ from the collection.
A walking bass line sets the tone for bright synths and jovial guitars. One Morning Left have us dancing in the streets with stars in our eyes and neon lights in our mind. Tripping the light fantastic on “electricity that blows our mind”, Mika Lahti’s crisp vocals emcee the party of a lifetime.
The bottom groove of the chorus adds meat to the bone. Delightfully heavy riffs drop the bass as we “shady creatures of the night” are encouraged to be our full fabulous selves. Guitars and keyboard come together for a soaring transition taking us further into warm ecstasy. Elements of a gritty metalcore scream bring brothers and sisters of the misfit cloth together in the “neon palm tree paradise” where nothing matters except loving yourself for who you are.
If you’re looking to lose your inhibitions to Europe-like synths and pop beats while maintaining a metal edge of meaty riffs and melodies; One Morning Left has you covered. ‘Creatvres’ is available now across all major streaming platform.
