Chris Maragoth is a solo artist but primarily a guitarist, who also writes, arranges and records his projects himself making this single even more impressive. The number of instruments incorporated including piano, drums, guitar, bass, backing vocals and lead were all arranged and recorded by Chris. Described as a “melodic ballad,” this single is the ultimate Covid lockdown anthem for anyone who has been through a bad
break up in recent plague times.
After the release of his four-track EP released in 2020, Chris is back with his ode to a lost love and the painful break up he experienced just a few years ago. Throughout this piece, Chris takes the listener on a journey through the influence of heavy drums and vocals along with the mix of both clean and distorted yet melodic guitar chord progression based
riffs.
Maragoth’s atmospheric vocal style and lyrics describe the difficult journey of moving on but not wanting to let go, touching any soul’s heart strings, “They say when a door closes, a window opens, but what if that I love is behind this door?” We’ve all been there Chris and we feel your pain.
